Cambrian started this game positively and for the majority of the 1st half gave Cardiff problems. 2 goals from Alicia Davies meant that Cambrian were in control going into halftime. Cambrian 1 v Thornhill A 1
Thornhill won 4-2 on penalties
This was the third time these 2 teams had met this year and was always going to be a very close and entertaining game. Thornhill A manage to score 1st but it wasn‘t long before Cambrian pulled one back from Gemma Evans. Both teams were evenly matched and the game was end to end, physical, and at fulltime this game remained 1-1. There were few clear cut opportunities from either side during extra time and penalties were looming. Unfortunately for Cambrian they lost 4-2 in the penalty shootout ending their hopes of making it to the final. This was an outstanding performance from Cambrian players and credit to them all, they were exhausted by the end of this game.

Margam 2 - Cambrian 3
This was a difficult game for Cambrian and they needed to be at their best to continue their run of results this season. Fillies started the game well and 2 goals from Alicia Davies ensured a good start, however Margam managed to pull a goal back. A goal from Anghard Chown prior to halftime meant Cambrian were 3-1 up. In the 2nd half Margam did a good job of retaining the ball and seemed to be camped in Cambrians half. With about 10 mins gone they scored and this made for a very tense 20 mins. However Cambrian defended well enough to keep Margam from scoring and held on for the win. Very entertaining game.

Cambrian 8 v Caerphilly 2
This was the last game of the season and Cambrian finished a brilliant year with this win against Caerphilly. We were now relying on other teams to win their outstanding games against Thornhill A for us to win the league. Unfortunately for the fillies Thornhill managed to win their final games to take the title, but Cambrian finished a well deserved 2nd. A good season all round. Well done to everyone who committed themselves to the club this season.

Thornhill A 4 v Cambrian 2
This game was really going to be a decider on who would win the league. Again Cambrian travelled with a limited squad of players and Thornhill scored 2 early goals. Once the nerves had settled the team regained some composure and started to play the football they were capable of. Just before halftime Cambrian pulled a goal back. The start of the 2nd half was all Cambrian, but as we were chasing the game Thornhill played the ball out and got in behind the defence to make it 3-1. Straight away Cambrian went at Thornhill and gained their reward by scoring again to make it 3-2. The fillies threw everything they had into chasing the equaliser, but in the dying minutes of the game Thornhill made one last attack and fired the ball towards the goal, a brilliant save by Bethan parrying the ball out but unfortunately Thornhill were quickest to the ball and it ended up in the back of the Cambrian net. With only a few seconds left there was no way back into the game for the fillies and the game ended 4-2. This result unfortunately did not reflect the game and overall performance of the fillies.

Georgetown 1 v Cambrian 1
This fixture seemed doomed from the start with injuries and players unavailable for other reasons and commitments not turning up. However with only 10 players on the field and some girls that were not 1st team regulars on the pitch the girls showed tremendous spirit in managing to draw this game. Well done to all those who played.
